Mission: Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project, Inc. (PDAP) is a registered 501c(3) organization, and a framework and collective created by and for Black and Brown Artists to support, encourage, and promote Black and Brown Arts and Artists in Tampa Bay, with a focus on providing uplifting and empowering youth and family engagements. Vision: By building a community of Black and Brown creative producers and thinkers, artists and arts activists, and allied thought leaders, Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project, Inc. seeks to develop, highlight, educate and inspire the next wave of Black and Brown Arts and Artists in the Tampa Bay region through education, collaboration, and community engagement. Formation: In June of 2021, several members of Pinellas County’s Black and Brown arts community came together to form PDAP, with the intention of offering pop-up art shows, workshops, artist talks, literary and spoken word events, creative huddles and roundtables, and theater, dance, and musical performances.
